    ASC members have a long history of mentoring students and emerging artists. AC takes a look at directors of photography who have traveled internationally and shared their knowledge of cinematography with those who wouldn’t otherwise have an opportunity to interact with the industry’s top practitioners. The piece will also include coverage of Ellen Kuras, ASC’s project Chronicle, a “cinematic portrait” currently in progress that explores the Covid-19 pandemic as experienced by people throughout the world.

    Remembering Denny Clairmont

    A tribute to ASC associate member Denny Clairmont, founder of Clairmont Camera, for his contributions to the advancement of filmmaking. Clairmont was the recipient of the John A. Bonner Medal of Commendation from the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences in 2011, as well as the ASC Bud Stone Award of Distinction in 2015.
