Gerald Hirschfeld, ASC, is a director of photography for theatrical feature films and commercials. In a career spanning more than 45 years, he has shot such productions as Diary of a Mad Housewife, Young Frankenstein, Fail-Safe, My Favorite Year and Goodbye Columbus. He has taught at the New Institute of Film in Brooklyn, N.Y., and the American Film Institute in Los Angeles. He and his wife, Julia Tucker, who edited this book, were filmmakers in residence for three years at the International Film & Digital Workshops in Rockport, Maine. The first edition of Image Control won a book award from the Kraszna-Krausz Foundation of London, England.
