Godzilla: King of the Monsters

Lawrence Sher, ASC joined director Michael Dougherty for this sequel to 2014’s Godzilla. Sher discusses the intricate lighting and camera movement on display in the movie, which pits Godzilla against the outsize monsters Mothra, Rodan and King Ghidorah.

Teen Spirit and The Sun Is Also a Star

Autumn Durald Arkapaw teamed with director Max Minghella for Teen Spirit, about a shy teenager who yearns to escape her small town and chase her dream to sing, and with Ry Russo-Young for The Sun Is Also a Star, a drama about teenage love in the midst of a family’s struggles. The cinematographer shines a light on her work for each production.
